Seriously?!

People NEVER cease to amaze me. Sometimes they are just so freaking rude I can hardly stand it! Today I was on Fort Lane and Gordon Lane sitting at a light to go back to work from lunch with my mom. I'll admit I don't look the best today, I could be put in the group that Jackie loves oh so much that wears the sweat suits (I only wore it today because I woke up so freaking late this morning, refer to post below). I had my windows down, was listening to my music, it wasn't loud, I wasnt singing,...then to my amazement the guy next to me rolls down his window and proceeds to yell at me that I am ugly. Gee thanks, you're not so hot yourself. Even if I do think someone is ugly I would never roll down my window and yell it at them...I'm still amazed at it. It wasn't even like he was in high school being a retard with his friends. He was all alone in is BEAUTIFUL(very sarcastic) car with blue tape holding it together.. I just dont get it...

Sometimes I wonder about myself...

I had an interesting conversation with my father in law the other day...He insisted that I sleep as much as I do, only because it is a habit. I HIGHLY disagree.. My mom has ALWAYS had all of her kids on a schedule, especially with sleep. If I don't get my sleep, I am not happy (to say the least). For all of you who know me, you can attest that that is the absolute truth. However, I am not the only one in my family that is like that. ALL of my siblings are the same way, so are my parents, even my grandparents...but still I am told it is only a habit. Tim really struggled with this when we first got married...he still gets annoyed (I think he hides his annoyance most of the time) but is getting better and understands that life in general will be better if he just leaves me alone and lets me sleep. When I get sick, my need is even more...If I take naps during the day, I always get better faster. When I tried to mention my theory to Tom, he wouldn't even hear it. He is a military man who wakes up at 6 am whether he likes it or not..it doesn't make sense to him. If I could, I would probably sleep at least 10 hours a day... I don't even know where this rampage came from today..maybe it was the fact that I slept better last night then I have in a month, and of course it just has to be on the day that I have to actually get up and go to school before I go to work...I hate mornings. If you want to see me happy, don't see me in the mornings...

Wedding Gifts...Still

I am SO excited. Tim is going to kill me because they are ridiculously expensive, but I have always wanted some glass canisters like these. I used a gift card my aunt and uncle gave us for our wedding, but still. Pottery Barn's prices are crazy, but I LOVE their stuff...

I figure I can use these for lots of stuff..bathroom, or kitchen as containers, candy jars (not that I need any candy) etc. Oh man am I excited..

I HATE Snot.

I cannot even begin to describe how sick I am of blowing my nose. It is now to the point that i have hard crusty skin peeling off of it, giving the look that I have constant boogers hanging out of my nose. I will not use any other tissues than the ones that have lotion on them, and even still my nose feels like it is going to fall off my face. The best part by far about having a cold is the constant sniffing and sneezing that i do. The best is when I'm on the phone at work with a patient and I can't even talk with them because I have so much SNOT everywhere! Its SO not fun being sick...I want it gone...NOW

I am definitely not the best blogger on the block. I get so bored at work, you would think that I could take a few minutes out of my incredibly busy days and write something..I just don't always have stuff to write..I find myself repeating stories...thank you dad for that trait. Life is just kinda in the same routine right now. Wake up early, go to school, go to work, come home, eat, go back to school. Repeat. Same thing all the time..very exciting.
We did mix it up a little last week and went ballroom dancing with group of couples from our ward. It was alot of fun, and I don't think Tim hated it as bad as he thought he was going to. It was cheap, close, something I've always wanted to do, and the teacher was simple and nice. The only disadvantage was the full size mirrors, reminding me everytime I look into them that I should use my gym membership more than I do..I'm getting better in the gym department though. The thing with working out and staying in shape is finding the time to do it. When I finally get off work, there is always dinner to be made, a 10 year old little girl waiting by the door for me to tell me about some dramatic thing that happened that day, a dog who all but mauls me everytime I walk in the door...and of course the cleaning, laundry, homework..all the REALLY fun life sucking day to day chores that need to be done. Going to work out is just another thing to add to my list..but I know I NEED to do it. It really does make me feel so much better, its just getting myself off my butt and out the door. From that point forward, its all good.

I've decided I need a vacation. Ok, so need is pushing it, but I definately WANT a vacation. The last vacation we really went on was our honeymoon. It was nice, but we were worried about what was going on the whole time...we had a very short honeymoon phase..to much family stuff going on. I suppose we did go to California in December..I forget about things sometimes. I swear I'm getting more and more forgetful lately. I write EVERYTHING down, and somehow I still manage to forget to look at my planner, Its a vicious cycle of forgetfulness that I just can't seem to break. I even forget what I am writing. ooo goodness. Back to the Vacation thing, Everything just costs money. I can't seem to justify spending money right now. My mind thinks that other things are more important...like school, paying off the car, savings. You know, things that take some responsibility. One day I will be in a tropical place, soaking up the sun getting some sort of my tan back, and just being incredibly lazy...ahh...soon....

Long Time....No Post

For Tim's birthday (In January, horrible i know) my dad gave him some awesome tickets for the Jazz game against the Mavericks ( on Feb 5...once again, sorry for the lateness). They were AMAZING seats..row one, seat 14 and 15. If you look real close...you can see they were $452.00...A PEICE!! Why anyone would pay that much still kills me, I can't even comprehend how many clothes I could get with that money, or house decorations...or STUFF!
It was a ton of fun. We were right behind Mark Cuban (the owner of the Mavs, I know nothing about him except he is the owner and VERY rich.) and here is his face. The Jazz bear was crazy, he sled down one of the isles on a sled into the arena, did a hand stand on top of 30ft ladder, he's crazy.
It's been a crazy month already. We've had everything from Birthdays, to baby showers, to flu, tests in every class falling all at the same time, and TONS of snow. Our Tress are looking like crap and I am definately not looking forward to spring clean up this year. One of our big trees in the back yard snapped at the base and a third of the tree broke a whole in the fence. Luckily it didnt hit any of the posts, just the panels, they are alot cheaper. The lilacs are super smooshed, the tree in the front yard has lost about half of its branches due to snapping also...love the snow but hate it oh so bad all at the same time.

This is the best picture i could get of some of the damage without tracking through 3 feet of snow. yuck.
Also, not the best picture, but they all used to be standing up strait...now they are smashed into the ground:(
And this is what our front walkway looks like...its calling for me to make a snow cave..now if I can just find the time to do it...

It was also mom's birthday this last week. We went to Texas Roadhouse, my family loves that place for some reason. She told the waiter that she wasnt going to get on the sadle for any reason so not to even waste his time bringing it over...but we talked him into it and we had everyone watching. I got it on video, but I dont know how to post it. Hopefully I can, becuase she was pretty embarassed.. hehe love you mom:)

Mom is saying "you are so in trouble right now you twit"...If looks could kill, this one would do the trick.

TOM'S HOME!!!

How ever much I LOVE to play mom, it is so nice when grandpa comes home and helps distribute the load of playing mom to a 10 year old. Lybi is an amazing little girl, she's been through alot in her life, and all things considered, she's amazing. She got her report card and got an average of 3.75 or4's on every subject ( for all you non elementary grading system knowing people that is the equivalent of A's and one A-) She was pretty excited needles to say. She's learning how to cook things with me, and has chilled out alot to the point where I can actually have the patience to have her in the kitchen with me to cook.

Tom finally got home yesterday afternoon. He's been down in Arizona for some old folks fair-thats really not what it is, but thats what I got from it when he was explaining it to me :) He loves to go gold hunting, and they have an entire section of the fair that is dedicated to different minerals and rocks and things like that. He brought me home a gorgeous turquoise necklace, I've been so spoiled since I met this family. He is such a sweet man, he's always thinking of ways that he can help someone out, or just make their days a little bit brighter. He walked in the door with a visor on that has some fake silver hair attached to it....all just to see the reaction that Lybi and I would give him. I'll have to put a picture up, its pretty funny to see the bald tan head with a tupee attached to his visor.... He did get quite a few giggles out of the two of us, and thats exactly what he was going for. Love that guy...

It is FINALLY the weekend...I am FINALLY getting my hair done..I haven't gotten it done since..I think October when we had our family pictures done. Its bad. The super bowl is this weekend...Tim's pretty excited. We don't really have anything big planned, just going to see if my family- my Dad in particular- want to come over and watch it with us. Sometimes, just spending time with your family is the best part of any sort of get together...
